Our Mission
Our mission is to aid and empower the communities of Toms River and Ocean County by fostering an attitude of universal equity and justice to fulfill individual, family, and community needs.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
We cannot grow as individuals until our needs as human beings are met. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs serves as a reminder that we must prioritize the essential needs (such as food, clean water, and housing) of all humans everywhere in order to establish well-being and equanimity around the world.

Passion with a Purpose
Our Goal
Our goal is to unify people of all backgrounds, faiths, and traditions in our quest to make the world a more just and equitable place. Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met; such as food, clean water, and a place to call home.

“
the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members.
— Mahatma Gandhi
THE ONLY TIME TO ACT IS NOW
Let’s imagine a world full of equality.
While equality is often the subject of advocacy, equity is arguably more important for achieving positive social change.
Equality benefits everyone equally, but equity more accurately addresses injustice towards the most vulnerable and least privileged among us.
Equality vs. Equity
Equality provides the same opportunities to everyone, but equity ensures fair access based on need. Not everyone starts from the same place, so equity addresses systemic disadvantages by providing additional support where it’s needed most.
Equity as a Path to Real Change
True progress comes from policies that remove barriers, not just equal treatment. Targeted resources in education, healthcare, and jobs help marginalized communities thrive, leading to a more just and inclusive society.
